It is desirable to study 4 A-level subjects throughout the whole course, although most universities
will accept 3 subjects.

Three A-level subjects are adequate, although a fourth subject would be of advantage to students.
Mathematics is essential
Double mathematics (this is a double A-level award in Mathematics and Further Mathematics and counts as 2 A-level subjects). It is highly recommended if you have good ability in this subject.
Chemistry and / or Physics, depending on your proposed specialisation ICT - especially for those students who wish to apply for a combined Engineering / Business or Management degree.
