Art & Design
the course

Course Aims
• To provide students with the opportunity to
explore their field of interest
• To guide students in the preparation of a
suitable interview portfolio
• To involve students in exhibiting
practical work
• To support students in completing a project
incorporating written and practical work
• To help students master the skills required
for successful study at degree level.

Cambridge is only a 50 minute train journey from London, so it is easy to visit art galleries and museums, visits to these institutions are an important part of the Art & Design Course.

Previous study in Art is not essential.

entry requirements
Students must be at least 17 years old at the beginning of the course
Students should have successfully completed their High School education
Students should have a level of English language equivalent to IELTS 5.0 for the September intake.
assessment
100% of the marks are obtained through course
work and project work. All students must satisfy
the university of their choice, through good
attendance and academic ability, that they are suitable applicants. Additionally students will need to
achieve the IELTS result required by their chosen university.
