Going to University

Success in University Placements

Since its foundation thousands of St. Andrew’s
students have succeeded in obtaining places at some of the most prestigious universities in
Britain, including Cambridge and Oxford.

In recent years St. Andrew’s has achieved a
success rate of 95% -100% in placing students in university.

Guidance is given to students on all aspects
of the university application process. This includes help with the completion of the UCAS form and advice on the choice of university and course.

Particular help and advice is offered to students applying for the more competitive subjects such as Medicine, Dentistry, Veterinary Science and Law.

Applying to University

St. Andrew’s recognises that students from overseas
will need expert help in applying to UK universities. A-level and Foundation students attend seminars to guide them in the selection of university courses and the completion of their applications to UK universities. During the Autumn Term the college holds a university fair to enable students to meet representatives from UK universities and further visits from universities are hosted throughout the year.

• Students who have made applications prior to
enrolling at St. Andrew’s must state this when
they apply for a place.

• The college will also assist students in
preparing their applications to universities
outside the UK but these students will need to
make the initial selection of university
destinations themselves.
