Pangea, the College’s Young Enterprise team for 2012-13, won 3 awards at this years regional finals in Cambridge. They have been importing and selling Bulgarian honey across Cambridge for the past academic year, so it was great to see the hard work pay off.
The team, some of which are shown in the photo, is made up of students from all of our courses (GCSEs, AS/A-levels and Foundation). There were about 20 in the business from many subject backgrounds; not just Business, but Art, Law, Economics.
The students had to present their years-worth of work to judges before presenting to a panel. Project work such as this is great for their development, and also fo r their UCAS application forms – universities are often looking for skills and abilities to try and differentiate between candidates for places. What better way to do so than to own and run an award-winning business!
The team were accomponied by Mr. Marshall (Principal) and Mr. Riches (Business Teacher)
