

Art Foundation
The art foundation course is a preparation course for university.
Students will undertake a rotation throughout the department learning a broad range of skills, demonstrating their creativity. The course curriculum is designed to help students prepare a portfolio which showcases their abilities and enables them to make informed decisions about their chosen specialism at university.
On the Art Foundation course, you will have the opportunity to learn fine art, printmaking, photography, 3D design, life drawing, fashion & textiles and contextual studies. The emphasis is on experimentation with processes and materials to create final work.
Previous students on our art foundation course have gone on to study Graphic Design, Fine Art, Sculpture, Silversmithing & Jewellery, Photography, Game Design, Animation & Visual Media, History of Art & Media and Illustration at prestigious universities.
