SCIENCE FOUNDATION

This course combines study in Chemistry, Biology and Maths. This is supported with English classes to help improve your level ready for further university study

Science classes are held in our modern laboratories at our Station Road site with experienced teachers who will support you while you carry out both theoretical and practical work.
In chemistry you will cover topics such as Atomic Structure, Bonding, Redox Reactions, Metal Extraction and Equilibria Collison Theory. In biology you’ll look at Cells, Diseases, DNA, Genes and Chromosomes and in maths you’ll study Algebra, Geometry, Differentiation and Probability and Statistics.  

Students who have studied on our science foundation course have gone on to study Chemistry, Biology, Pharmacy, Biotechnology and computer science at university.
