St Andrew’s College Celebrates Record-Breaking Success

Posted: 26th November 2025

St Andrew’s College is celebrating an outstanding set of GCSE results for 2025, with pupils achieving record levels of success across the board.

This year, 43% of all GCSE entries were awarded the top grades of A–A (9–7) reflecting both the resilience and ambition of the pupils and the dedication of the teaching staff. Even more impressively, 100% of students achieved a pass at grade C (4) or above. This means that every single pupil leaves St Andrew’s College with qualifications that will enable them to progress to the next stage of their education.

Headteacher Annette Poulain commented:

“We are absolutely thrilled with this year’s GCSE results. To see such a significant rise in the number of top grades, alongside a perfect pass rate, is an achievement that reflects the commitment of our students, the hard work of our staff, and the support of our wider school community. These results show that excellence and inclusivity can go hand in hand.”

The results highlight the school’s ability to combine personalised support with academic rigour, ensuring both high attainment and strong progress for every pupil.

As St Andrew’s looks to the future, the 2025 GCSE results stand as a testament to the school’s ethos: high expectations, inclusivity, and success for all.

Highlights of the results include:

  • Multiple students securing Grade 8s in Maths, Biology, and Physics, reflecting outstanding analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • A Grade 9 in Italian, showcasing exceptional language proficiency and cultural awareness.
  • Consistent achievement across the Sciences, with many students earning secure passes and higher, particularly in Chemistry and Physics.
  • Strong English results, with students attaining up to Grade 7 in English Language, demonstrating excellent communication and critical thinking abilities.

As students move forward to A-levels, and the bespoke St Andrew’s University Foundation Course, they do so with a strong academic foundation and a bright future ahead.
