Medical

Our nurse works at St Andrews from 9am to 5pm five days a week and is based at Glisson Road.  She is an invaluable resource for students and helps diagnose minor ailments, store medicines safely for students and support students when they are feeling unwell.

When applying for a visa, students pay a National Health Service surcharge which covers them for all their medical treatment.  We register all our students with a local GP Surgery on arrival and our House Parents or the nurse will accompany students to the doctor if required. The surgery is based less than five minutes’ walk from the college.  If a student requires hospital treatment for any reason, our staff take them to Addenbrook’s Hospital located in Hills Road.

Students may require other medical services such as dentists, orthodontists or opticians whilst they are with us.
