St Andrew’s College Cambridge is one of the leading boarding schools in Cambridge, with around 90% of our students living in one of our twelve boarding houses Cambridge-wide. As a small, central, full-board college, we have built our boarding model around three principles. Every boarding house is within walking distance of the main college on Station Road, so students never need to travel by bus or train to lessons. Every house has live-in house parents who know their students personally. And every house operates inside a single, college-wide safeguarding, pastoral and academic framework, with a Deputy DSL, mental health first aiders and 24/7 supervision. This page sets out each boarding house in turn, with bed numbers, room types and a personal profile from the house parents who run it.
Our international boarding accommodation Cambridge offer covers a range of room types so families can choose what fits both budget and preference. Single ensuite rooms are the most popular and offer the most privacy. Twin ensuite rooms are usually shared between two students of the same age and gender, with a private ensuite shower. Superior single rooms are larger single rooms with extra workspace. A small number of rooms use shared bathroom facilities at a reduced fee. The comparison table further down the page sets out exactly what each house offers.
I have really loved working at St Andrew’s. It’s been amazing to work in such a supportive and friendly environment. The highlight of my time here so far have been the bonds I’ve formed with my students. It has been an amazing experience looking after students from over ten different countries and helping them to settle in and enjoy St Andrew’s College and Cambridge as a city.
I am an enthusiastic person with an outgoing personality and a confident approach to life. I studied Business, Technology and Education and graduated with Distinction. I pride myself in successfully communicating and building good relationships with students from different backgrounds and cultures. I am adept in assessing and understanding the unique needs of each student and ensuring that the requirements of all students are effectively aligned and fulfilled.
I have been working for St Andrews for over eighteen years and alongside my role as House Manager I also provide support and training for new House Managers. It is great to be able to share my experience with new members of the team and help make sure that all the Halls run professionally and our students are cared for to the highest standards.
