We are delighted to share the results of our Independent Schools Inspectorate (ISI) Inspection, November 2025, which confirm that St. Andrew’s College, Cambridge meets all applicable Independent School Standards across leadership, education quality, pastoral care, pupil wellbeing, and safeguarding.

This routine inspection by the ISI — the body appointed by the UK Department for Education to inspect independent schools — validates the strength of St. Andrew’s academic and pastoral provision under the current inspection framework. Boarding provision, pastoral systems, and welfare support are described as well organised and effective. Boarders settle quickly with carefully planned induction, clear routines, and positive relationships with house staff. The college environment supports students’ academic, social, and personal growth and helps them feel safe and included.

Behaviour during lessons and around the college was found to be consistently positive, and medical and welfare arrangements were reported as well maintained.

Safeguarding and Compliance

The inspection concluded that all relevant standards for safeguarding, leadership and management, education quality, pupil health and emotional wellbeing, and social and economic development are met.
